In order to complete the integrated solution of ethnographic heritage conservation in ASTRA Museum, active and preventive conservation measures of exhibited households were also included in the project:

- Conservation through waterproofing treatments of 26 buildings in the Open Air Museum;

- Field arrangements through surface water drains system on a 350 m length

- Replacement of damaged roofs - 15 monuments from the Open Air Museum are scheduled for immediate intervention on different materials - straws, wooden shingles, reed.

Conservation works are scheduled for 2010 and 2011.

"ASTRA" Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization from Dumbrava Sibiului is an A category historic monument assembly, included on the Historic Monuments List of the Ministry of Culture under the number SB-II-a-A 12012.
